Global Harmony sings for a stall in the Victorian Market
Melton Mowbray shoppers surrounded by singers
"Yes you can have a stall to advertise your concert if you sing us a few songs", said the organisers of the Victorian Market in Melton Mowbray. So we did and we did. 25 singers turned out on a bright but cool and blowy day to bring Xmas cheer to the shoppers. We processed from our stall in Windsor Street into the market square singing 'Nowell, nowell' and surprised many people as we weaved through the crowds.
Then we gave the shoppers 20 minutes of pure Global Harmony with 5 of our favourite Xmas songs and a medley of more traditional carols to finish up with. The smiles on the choir faces say it all. Temporary acting conductor Steve (Liz wasn't available)got his first taste of hearing all the choir from the front and thoroughly enjoyed the process. Usually he is with the lads in the bass section.
Well done everyone and lets hope we drummed up some extra ticket sales for the 12th December concert.
