Global Harmony helps Des to light up Melton Mowbray
Choir causes the earth to move in Melton Market
Our world nearly fell about us as we crowded on stage for the Melton Mowbray annual Xmas lights switch on. We were well into Voro Voro, our lively russian number, when the temporary stage lurched violently and we thought it might collapse. Luckily all was well and we finished the set with 'May your cup always be full'.
This was probably the largest audience we have sung to, the market square was packed. We were on just before Des came on to do his weatherman bit for East Midlands Today on BBC1 and the crowd gave us an enthusiastic welcome. Des and the Mayor pushed the plunger, on came the lights and my weren't those fireworks something!
Not an easy venue but all part of lifes rich experience with Global Harmony
